Core drill bits, also known as hollow drill bits, hole saws, hollow cutters, magnetic drill bits, are designed for cutting precise holes through materials.
Working Principle of Core Drill Bits:
The segment is composed of two or more sets of three-blade combinations. Each set includes several outer blades, middle blades, and inner blades. Each type of blade only bears about one-third of the total workload. Additionally, each blade is equipped with an internal cutter, allowing for smooth chip removal.
Moreover, since each cutting edge shares part of the cutting workload, the risk of edge chipping is significantly reduced.
Classification of Core Drill Bits:
Based on material: High-Speed Steel (HSS) bits and Tungsten Carbide (carbide) bits.
Effective cutting depths: 35mm, 50mm, 100mm, 120mm, 150mm, 300mm.
Diameter range: 12mm to 160mm.
Main materials: High-Speed Steel (HSS), Powder Metallurgy, and Cemented Carbide.
Applicable Machines:
These bits are compatible with magnetic drills, magnetic bases, drill presses, lathes, milling machines, and more. They are available in a wide range of types and sizes and can be used with various brands of magnetic drills, multifunctional drill presses, vertical bench drills, milling machines, boring machines, and other machinery.
Each core drill bit can drill approximately 1,000 to 3,000 holes. For example, drilling a hole through a 40mm thick steel plate takes only 25 to 40 seconds, greatly improving work efficiency.
Main Applications:
Core drill bits are widely used in industries such as steel structure fabrication, shipbuilding, railway construction, mold manufacturing, paper production, bridge engineering, and machinery installation.
