1. Marble is not resistant to acid and alkali. Juice, coffee, tea, cola and other slightly acidic and alkaline liquids will corrode the surface of the stone. Therefore, once dripping water is found, it should be wiped clean as soon as possible and rinsed with clean water. Neutral detergents (such as detergent and hand sanitizer) must be used for daily cleaning.
2. Marble is soft in texture, low in hardness, and not wear-resistant. Sand and metal hard objects will scratch the surface of the stone, so a vacuum rubber pad should be placed at the door. Do not move or drag tables, chairs and benches on the ground. When cleaning and maintaining, the sand and hard objects on the surface of the stone should be cleaned and removed in time.
3. Due to its material, if the accumulated water stays on the surface of the stone for too long, the stone will absorb some of the water. If it cannot be dried in time, the stone will suffer from alkalinization, white flowers, mold and other diseases. Once the stone has a lesion, it will be more difficult to treat, especially light-colored marble. When cleaning and maintaining, the amount of water should be minimized, and the water and neutral detergents (such as detergent) should be sucked clean in time to keep the stone dry. Generally, waterproof protection treatment is done before installation.
4. Marble cannot be treated with water wax or solid wax. Applying water wax or solid wax is a traditional and backward maintenance method more than ten years ago, and it is a wrong maintenance method with serious disadvantages. This will block the natural capillary pores of the stone, making it unable to “breathe” normally and prone to lesions.
5. Perform daily crystallization and hardening treatment regularly according to the density of use.
6. Perform waterproof and oil-proof care regularly.
