Small-diameter diamond saw blades can be used to cut hard and brittle materials such as marble, granite, concrete, refractory materials, ceramics, etc. The cutting equipment is generally a portable cutting machine and an angle grinder. Some products are also used on desktop machines, such as vitrified tile saw blades.
The following points should be noted during the use of small-diameter diamond saw blades:
1. The operator should wear relevant protective equipment before operation: such as safety shoes, safety glasses, safety helmets, earmuffs, etc.
2. The cutting machine should have a protective cover or other safety devices.
3. Check whether the saw blade is damaged or severely deformed before use. If damaged, it is strictly prohibited to use it.
4. Check whether the chuck of the cutting machine is dirty. If it is dirty, it should be cleaned before installation. Check whether the spindle bearing, spindle or sleeve is severely worn. If the wear is severe, a new sleeve or equipment should be replaced.
5. When installing the saw blade, the direction marked on the saw blade must be consistent with the direction of rotation of the cutting machine. Inconsistent directions can easily cause inaccurate cutting.
6. If you are using a wet saw blade, please add enough cooling water.
7. If you are using a dry saw blade, you must idle for a few seconds every 10 to 15 seconds to cool the saw blade. If the cutting depth is large, you should cut in steps. The effect is better when the dry saw blade is cooled with water.
8. Curved cutting and side grinding are not allowed during the cutting process. Curved cutting and side grinding are easy to cause cracks, falling blocks or matrix breakage of the saw blade.
9. If the cutting is inclined, the cutting depth should not be too large. Pay attention to safety during the cutting process and try not to let your body and the saw blade be on the same plane. If there is an abnormal sound, stop cutting immediately, check whether the saw blade is damaged, or check whether the saw blade fixing screw is loose.
10. If the diamond saw blade is blocked during use, the saw blade will become blunt. Please use a ceramic grinding wheel or refractory brick to resharpen the saw blade (sharpening means cutting more than a dozen knives on the ceramic grinding wheel or refractory brick). It will be sharp again after resharpening.
11. During the cutting process, if there is any noise or severe vibration, stop cutting immediately and check whether the saw blade is cracked or broken. If cracks or fragments are found, replace it with a new one.
